Hillary Clinton Accuses Two Female Presidential Candidates of Being Russian Agents
The race for the democratic presidential nomination became even stranger last week. Former First Lady Hillary Clinton came out and attacked Democratic candidate Tulsi Gabbard and accused her of being groomed by Russian agents for a third-party run. For what purpose? Well, only Clinton and other conspiracy theorists know for sure.
According to reports, Clinton’s comments took place on the podcast “Campaign HQ.” Clinton said that there was an unnamed Democratic candidate that is being groomed by the Russians for a potential third-party candidacy.
“I’m not making any predictions,” Hillary said. “But I think they’re got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”
While she didn’t name the candidate that she was referring to, when asked if it was Gabbard, Clinton said, “If the nesting doll fits…” Subtle, no?
She also accused Green Party candidate Jill Stein of being a “Russian asset.”
Both accused Russian “agents” came out swinging against the failed 2016 presidential candidate.
Jill Stein responded on Twitter, saying, “It’s a shame HRC is peddling conspiracy theories to justify her failure instead of reflection on the real reasons Dems lost in 2016.”
But Gabbard’s response was even more aggressive towards the former First Lady. In multiple tweets, Gabbard said, “Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announce my candidacy, there has been a … concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know—it was always you, through your proxies and … powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”
It’s a bold statement but demonstrates that the nation really hasn’t been the same since the 2016 elections.
While Gabbard did display some seriously poor judgement by meeting with Syrian President, and Russian ally, Bashir al-Assad, it is no indication that she is a Russian agent. To say such a thing implies that democracy and autonomy in the United States is dead. That’s a dangerous thought, and one meant to imply that at least some politicians, most notably the president, were given power through a foreign country and not the American people.
The ladies of The View got in on the action as well, with co-host, and radical leftist liberal, Joy Behar calling Gabbard a “useful idiot.” It’s a terrible comment, and one that demonstrates the growing divisions and gutter politics that have taken hold of the country since Donald Trump became president.
Instead of challenging someone because of their policy ideas, it seems like many liberals are utilizing more personal attacks that are meant to damage a person’s character. As a result, it seems like the foundations of democracy left by the Founding Fathers have been permanently damaged since 2016.
This foolish and absolutely unfounded accusation does nothing for this presidential race but continue to harm the very fabric of the country. If Mrs. Clinton is so worried about the elections, she should either enter it with proof of Gabbard’s supposed Russian collusion or keep her unsubstantiated opinions to herself. The statement she made did nothing but cause division and give the supposed Russian agent a leg up in the election.
