Nationwide Prayer Rally to Overturn ‘Roe vs. Wade’
Calling all pro-life advocates! Our friends at the Family Research Council have organized an in-person and virtual prayer rally for Christians across the country to Pray Together For Life on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
This special event will be held three days before the United States Supreme Court hears oral argument for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
The Dobbs case is about a Mississippi law that limits abortions after 15 weeks gestation except in medical emergencies or severe fetal abnormality.
After the law was enacted in 2018, the only abortion clinic in Mississippi challenged the law. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court agreed to review the case.
The question before the Court is whether a state may enact limits on abortion before viability (the point in time at which a baby can live outside the womb with medical assistance).
Previous Supreme Court rulings have limited the ability of the state to protect the interests of preborn human life.
Dobbs could be the case that finally overturns Roe v. Wade – the decision that legalized abortion on demand in all 50 states in 1973.
Christians are urged to rally together to support this monumental case and pray that the sanctity of preborn human life will be respected.
The in-person prayer gathering will be held in Jackson, Mississippi, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CT.
The live broadcast of the in-person gathering can be accessed here at the same time on Sunday night.
National pro-life speakers at the event will be bipartisan, interdenominational, and multiethnic, including:
