Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who recently announced that she is leaving the Democrat party, is now speaking out for the reality of biological sex.

Gabbard, who made the comments at the Annual Awards Gala of the Independent Women’s Forum, was honored with the organization’s 2022 Resilience Award.

“We have an administration in the White House, and woke politicians in Washington, a Supreme Court justice who are unable and unwilling to define what a woman is,” Gabbard said in her speech accepting the award.

“How is it controversial to define what a woman is?” Gabbard asked. “It is the height of hypocrisy for those who claim to be feminists, who claim to be champions for women over decades … to deny that there is such a thing as a woman.”

Gabbard tweeted out the video of her acceptance speech.

“Those who deny the biological differences between a man and a woman are not only erasing women as a category of people, they’re denying the existence of objective reality, and the ‘truth’ becomes whatever those in power want it to be,” she wrote.

To Christians and Americans with commonsense, saying that there are biological differences between men and women may seem like the same thing as observing that the sky is blue, or there are seven days in one week.

And yet, in our current cultural climate, to say commonsense things that everyone used to agree on, like the fact that there are only two sexes, takes a hearty dose of courage and gravitas.

Three cheers for Tulsi Gabbard for speaking out and speaking truth to a culture sorely in need of it.
