Any day now, the United States Supreme Court will be handing down a decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. If the leaked draft majority opinion stands and Roe is overturned, the right to decide abortion policy will be rightly returned to the people.
But today, many people are morally confused about abortion. Our culture has perpetuated a lie that babies in the womb are somehow less than human and don’t have a right to life. Well-meaning neighbors, coworkers, and friends have bought into the lie that abortion is morally acceptable. That’s where you come in!
As believers, we know the truth. We know that human life inside the womb is just as valuable as human life outside the womb.
The worth of a preborn child is not dependent on cultural norms or whether a baby is wanted or unwanted. A preborn child’s dignity is found in its humanity.
The Bible tells us that human beings are made in the image of God. Genesis 1:27 states, “so God created humanity in His own image.”
By virtue of being human, God has uniquely set us apart as moral, spiritual, and intellectual beings – and that distinction begins in the womb.
In a post-Roe world, the pro-life movement needs each and every one of us to be a voice for life. We must help a morally confused world remember the truth about life in the womb. We must help others SeeLife!
Focus on the Family wants to encourage and equip YOU to be a light for life in your community!
This Tuesday night, we will host our 4th annual SeeLife event to rally together with pro-life friends and prepare to live out our pro-life values in a nation that has embraced a culture of death.
