Largest Annual Pro-Life Gathering in the World Next Friday
On Friday, January 19, 2024, Washington, D.C., will host the world’s largest annual pro-life human rights gathering — the March for Life.
Here is the timelapse of last year’s march:
The March for Life is an annual rally and march in the nation’s Capital, marking the anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s catastrophic decision to legalize abortion in Roe v. Wade.
Last year was the first march since Roe’s reversal, which correctly put the power to decide abortion policy back into the hands of the people and their elected representatives.
Organizers of the march say they will keep on marching each January until every preborn baby’s life is legally protected.
To symbolize the change in the political and legal landscape, participants will march to the U.S. Capitol Building instead of the U.S. Supreme Court.
This year’s theme is “With Every Woman, For Every Child.” March organizers explain this is about caring for mothers and their children during pregnancy and beyond. And, they say, it “underscores the truth that the pro-life movement is committed to caring for each woman, child, and family before and after a baby is born.”
Organizers say the rally will “celebrate the heroic work of Pregnancy Care Centers and Maternity Homes, while offering a roadmap to how we will truly achieve a life-affirming culture that respects the inherent dignity of all human life.”
More than 3,400 pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes nationwide provide care for women, children and families.
A video created by the march organizers reiterates the importance of supporting and empowering women to choose life.
Danny Gokey, former semi-finalist on American Idol and three-time Grammy Nominee, will perform at the pre-rally concert beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET.
The rally will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET.
The exceptional line-up of speakers includes:
- Benjamin Watson, former NFL tight end
- Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus on the Family
- Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship and his wife Cathe
- Bishop John Abdalah, Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America

- Jean Marie Davis, Executive Director of Branches Pregnancy Resource Center
- Aishia Taylor, author of Navigating the “Impossible”: A Survival Guide for Single Moms From Pregnancy Through the First Year of Motherhood

The march will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.
