Top 10 Conservative and Pro-Family Victories in 2025

As we ring in the new year and close the books on 2025, there are many conservative and pro-family victories we can be grateful for this year.

It’s important to recognize the work done by many Christians and conservative activists who have helped accomplish so much.

Here are 10 victories from 2025 that we at the Daily Citizen are thankful for.

First: U.S. Supreme Court Upholds State Laws Protecting Children From ‘Trans’ Interventions

On June 18, the Supreme Court issued a historic 6-3 decision in United States v. Skrmetti, upholding the right of states to protect children from harmful and damaging sex-rejecting medical interventions.

The Court’s ruling allowed 26 states to continue protecting children from puberty blocking drugs, opposite-sex hormones and surgeries.

Second: Supreme Court Allows States to Defund Planned Parenthood

In June, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of South Carolina’s plan to defund Planned Parenthood of Medicaid dollars, paving the way for states to defund Big Abortion organizations.

As the Daily Citizen wrote at the time, “Focus on the Family applauds the Court’s decision. This ruling will save women and babies from the tragedy of abortion.” The case is Medina v. Planned Parenthood.

Third: Congress Defunds Big Abortion Organizations

Just days after the Court’s ruling discussed above, for the first time in U.S. history, Congress defunded the Big Abortion industry, keeping roughly $850 million in taxpayer dollars from flowing to abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood.

The provision was enacted under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which President Donald J. Trump signed into law on July 4. It lasts one year. Nearly 50 Planned Parenthood clinics closed this year as a result.

Fourth: Reversing Illegal Immigration

The United States experienced a historic crisis along the U.S. Southern Border under the Biden administration, with an estimated 6.7 million illegal aliens entering the U.S. in four years, bringing the estimated number of illegal aliens residing in the U.S. to at least 23.1 million.

On day one of his administration, President Trump signed a flurry of executive orders cracking down on illegal immigration.

As of December 2025, an estimated 2.5 million illegal immigrants were removed from the U.S. since January, with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) deporting 605,000 illegal immigrants and another 1.9 million voluntarily self-deporting.

Fifth: Illegal Border Crossings Reach Record Lows

The number of illegal immigrants encountered along the Southern Border has fallen dramatically to nearly zero since President Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, as seen in the chart below:

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), fewer illegal immigrants have been apprehended along the Southern Border in 10 months under the Trump administration than in one month under Biden.

“Since January 21 through end of November, there have been 117,105 total enforcement encounters along the southwest border which is 37% less than the monthly average of 185,625 during the Biden Administration,” CBP reports.

Sixth: Biological Sanity Restored to the Federal Government

During his second inaugural address on January 20, 2025, President Trump declared, “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.” This was a profound and essential affirmation of basic sanity.

The same day, the president signed an important executive order, Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government. The State Department subsequently required individuals to be identified by their biological sex on passports, rather than their subjective “gender identity.”

Implementing a separate executive order, Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness, the Department of War prohibited transgender-identified troops from serving in the military.

And effecting yet another important executive order, Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation, Attorney General Pam Bondi directed Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys to investigate “transgender” medical interventions being performed on children. The DOJ is investigating over a dozen doctors and clinics for providing children with these interventions.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) also blocked hospitals and clinics from harming children with sex-rejecting procedures.

Seventh: Protecting Women’s Sports

On February 5, President Trump signed an executive order, Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.

Allowing men into women’s sports is “demeaning, unfair and dangerous to women and girls, and denies women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel in competitive sports,” the order states. “It … [is] the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women’s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth.”

Eighth: 23 Pro-life Protesters Pardoned

On January 23, one day before the March for Life, President Trump pardoned 23 pro-life protesters who had been unjustly prosecuted, with some sentenced to jail time, under the Biden administration.

“They should not have been prosecuted,” the president said at the time, adding, “Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this. … They’ll be very happy.”

Focus on the Family President Jim Daly reacted to President Trump’s signing of the pardons:

We applaud President Donald Trump’s decision to extend to them full pardons, acknowledging that every American has a right to peacefully express their deeply held convictions concerning the sanctity of life.

Ninth: Vice President JD Vance Addresses the March for Life

In his very first appearance after being sworn-in as the vice president of the United States, JD Vance addressed the March for Life in-person in Washington, D.C.

“We march to protect the unborn, we march to proclaim and live out the sacred truth that every single child is a miracle and a gift from God,” the vice president declared.

10th: God Uses Charlie Kirk’s Assassination for Good

In a brutal and evil assassination, our nation lost Christian conservative Charlie Kirk on September 10.

Less than two weeks later, on September 21, over 200,000 people gathered at State Farm Stadium for Charlie Kirk’s memorial service. The event – which an estimated 100 million people watched – became perhaps the most watched gospel presentation in history.

The event epitomized a spiritual reality: God can use evil for good. “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Gen. 50:20).

We are deeply thankful for these good and righteous victories of 2025. Much more remains to be accomplished in 2026.
