March for Life

Jan 22 2025

World’s Largest Annual Human Rights Gathering This Friday

Pro-life Americans will march in Washington, D.C. this Friday at the 52nd National March for Life — the largest annual human rights gathering in the world.

Since Roe’s reversal over two and a half years ago, organizers of the March for Life have doubled down on the importance of gathering each January to rally and march together until every life in the United States is protected from abortion.

This year’s theme is “Why We March.” It is meant to encourage the pro-life community to have renewed energy and vigor to keep advocating, even in challenging times, for the sanctity and dignity of every human life.

Organizers say the rally will be held in a new location this year — at the grounds of the Washington Monument.

Attendees will march down Constitution Avenue, past the White House, and complete their march in front of the United States Capitol — symbolizing the power the legislative branch now holds to advance pro-life policy.

Music group “Unspoken” will be performing a pre-rally concert beginning at 11:00 am ET.

The rally will begin at 12:00 pm ET.

The exciting line-up of speakers includes:

  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
  • Bethany Hamilton, professional surfer, mother, and pro-life advocate
  • Lila Rose, president of Live Action
  • U.S. Senator John Thune, Senate majority leader
  • U.S. Congressman Chris Smith
  • Dr. Catherine Wheeler, obstetrician
  • Josiah Presley, abortion survivor
  • Beverly Jacobson, CEO of Mama Bear Care
  • Jeanne Mancini, president, March for Life
  • Jennie Bradley Lichter, president-elect, March for Life
  • The Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas, chair, Committee on Pro-Life Activities, USCCB
  • Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison, president of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod
  • Hannah Lape, student and president for the Wheaton College Voice for Life

Focus on the Family will be in attendance and invites our pro-life friends to join us as we March for Life in our nation’s Capital.

March for Life Announces New President and 2025 Theme

The 52nd annual March for Life will be held in Washington D.C. on January 24, 2025. The theme for this year’s march is “Life: Why We March.”

Since the reversal of Roe two years ago, and the subsequent challenges the pro-life movement has faced, organizers say this theme is about reminding us what it’s all about.

Their hope is to “encourage pro-life advocates to draw renewed energy for this challenging moment in the movement by reflecting on the basic truth that inspires the pro-life cause: every human life – including the unborn and their mothers – is beautiful, has unique dignity, and [is] worthy of protection.”

March for Life produced a powerful video explaining this year’s theme.

Current President Jeanne Mancini narrates the piece and concludes, “Because every single life deserves a chance. That is what real human flourishing looks like. That is why we march.”

March organizers say “the goal of the national March for Life is to not only change laws at the state and federal level, but to change the culture to ultimately make abortion unthinkable.”

Earlier this fall, the March for Life announced a leadership change and welcomed their new president-elect, Jennie Bradley Lichter. Lichter is an attorney and formerly worked at the White House on domestic policy and rulemaking to defend the dignity of human life. Lichter will assume her role as president on February 1, 2025.

March organizers have also revealed that the keynote speaker for the 2025 march will be Bethany Hamilton.

Hamilton is a wife, mother, author and speaker who uses her platform to champion the pro-life cause.

She is most well-known for surviving a shark attack at the age of 13. Against all odds, and through the power of her faith in Jesus, she overcame all odds and went on to achieve her dream of becoming a professional surfer. Hamilton’s story was turned into the film Soul Surfer in 2011.

As reported by the Daily Citizen, Hamilton also inspires women to embrace motherhood through her partnership as a brand ambassador with the pro-life diaper company EveryLife.

March for Life organizers have also announced that the band Unspoken will be kicking off the rally and march with a concert at 11 a.m.

Pro-life friends who plan on attending the march can RSVP and learn more details at March for Life.
